Back on Board

Big man on a board! Yes, I know how it sounds, haha.

Since childhood, I’ve been an avid skater. Whether it was skating to school or simply riding my board on a newly paved road with my friends. I had no interest to become a pro skater but merely appreciated the community that I was part of.

I gasped in awe when the opportunity came for me to collaborate with Mami Wata and Globe. “Yes! Finally, I can add a little something to the board culture”. I’m yet to step onto a Surfboard but never say never!

Though I’ve excelled as a Young Producer, it’s been a while since I donned my Directing hat. I had the great privilege to working with an amazing DOP (Misha Miros). I had a kickass Producer (Jared Malin) and the Skate-Surf talent were just out of this world. The budget was minimal but we all came together because we loved the Skate-Surf culture. We’re very happy to be part of the launch for the new Skatesurf board.

This was the perfect project to put my Directing hat back into the ring. I resumed my Directing path and revisited my childhood joy. What an incredible project!

I’m looking forward to the next.
