Nike - So Many Ways to Air

Terry Hall's new spot for Nike is a creative and fun look at the many ways to (nike) air.

Director Terry Hall - who we represent for work in South Africa - has released a new spot for NIKE alongside Psyop.

The piece uses varying stylistic techniques that embrace and in some ways, playfully make fun of analogue mediums. The spot looks at the many ways you can wear your Nike Airs. Using fun typography, animation and playful choreography that reminds us of Spike Jonze' 'KENZO', Hall leaves us with a refreshing commercial that has me reaching for my wallet thinking; I could really do with a pair of Nike air 270s.

“We were trying to show how these days you can take this really techy Nike Air Max shoe and style it up with just about any outfit. It was about having a great combination of killer styling, choreography and type design and creating a social campaign that was really gonna stop people in their scroll. I had an amazing team across the board from Stefan my Swiss type designer, Mindi my stylist, BJ my choreographer, Sy my DOP to the guys at Tendril that handled the post. The choreography was fun. We wanted to make it as playful and goofy as possible. I think I may have missed my calling.”
