After 2 months of intense production, intricate organisation and organic collaboration, Dan Mace releases his long awaited film, "Humankind".

This is the point where Film-maker and Youtube director, Dan Mace first introduced his idea:
"100 Filmmakers from 100 Countries to create this piece".
This call-to-action, or invitation if you will, was only the beginning. Dan invited film-makers and content creators from every nook and cranny of the world to make contact through email.
The response was overwhelming. He received over 15 000 emails from various individuals who sent through heartwarming messages of love, excitement and complete eagerness to take part in the chance to create and share content.
With an overflowing inbox, this lead Dan to create 'Episode 8' in his YouTube 'BRU SERIES' in which he laid out his strategy to make this film: "Surprising my ex-boss that fired me (*gone wrong)"
Wait. Let me get you up to speed. Dan Mace is an award winning film-maker and YouTube director. Dan shot and directed the commercial, "Tusker - Here's to Us" with Groundglass, and it went on to win two silver screens at the Young Directors awards. He has directed documentaries, music videos, commercials, and over 50 short films in his career. At twenty-two he opened his first film production company, If Not Why Not, and successfully completed thirty plus productions. He also won the internationally acclaimed RØDE Judges Choice Award for his short film, Gift.
Dan has spent most of the year, thus far, in NYC collaborating with acclaimed filmmaker and Youtuber,Casey Neistat, on his series 368. The above links are from his latest YouTube venture, his BRU series - which has just completed its First season.
Anyways, back to the film. In the video Dan comes back to South Africa to ask for production support on his film. The next 2 months saw intense production and collaboration between Dan, researchers, editors and musicians until finally, we flash forward to yesterday. Dan releases his long awaited film on YouTube.
